Our Manufacturing client in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The role will involve both pre-planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery. You will work on a range of processing equipment, ensuring maximum up time on the plant. Experience in both mechanical and electrical aspects is preferred.
Duties:
* Carrying out pre-planned maintenance tasks on all site machinery
* Ensuring reactive maintenance is carried out in a timely manner to minimise down time
* Communicating with all aspects of the production team to ensure all company safety, quality & environmental policies/procedures are adhered to at all times
* Maintaining 5S standards in all work areas
* Investigate, diagnose and rectify faults on electrical and mechanical distribution systems, automated plant/equipment and site services.
* Use of software tools to troubleshoot and/or modify plant PLC control systems.
* Conversant with modern drives and control systems.
* Carry out minor electrical installations and provide project support.
* Ensure all working practices are performed to BS7671 (IEE16th Edition) standard.
Skills/Experience:
* Experience within a proactive engineering role within a maintenance department
* Experience in both mechanical and electrical aspects is preferred
* Nationally recognised apprenticeship or equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering
* The applicant will hold a minimum qualification of ONC/NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and will have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship if electrically biased Or Mechanical equivalent if mechanically biased.
Hours of Work:
8 hour shifts days, Noon's and nights (2 days, 2 noon's, 2 nights 2off) on a rota
Salary:
GBP31,860.92pa with overtime opportunities
