ASSISTANT MANAGER
We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to provide a high quality clerical and administrative support service to PDK Shellfish Limited which will include completing procedures in accordance with customs export legislation and to prepare paperwork required by governing bodies in a manner which will ensure that the needs of the company are met.
ASSISTANT MANAGER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* The responsibilities will include day to day administrative duties of running the company which will include customs export completion.
* Maintain administrative, information and filing systems.
* To exercise initiative in the routing of enquiries initially directed to the office Manager from any source with a view to providing the enquirer with the best quality response
* To respect the confidentiality of clients, colleagues and other Departments/agencies at all times in accordance with the company code of conduct.
* To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as allocated.
* To be flexible with working hour to ensure each job is completed to the highest standard.
ASSISTANT MANAGER SKILLS
Essential:
* You must possess a minimum of 3 Standard Grades (Level 1, 2 or 3) including English, or equivalent qualifications / experience
* General administrative and office experience
* Computer literate
* Competent in usage of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel and Word.
* Good typing skills
* Good communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
* Ability to work as part of a team, and on own initiative
* Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and processes
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced office environment.
* Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
* Flexibility withing working hours to complete outstanding tasks for deadlines.
Desirable:
* Experience of working within exports.
* Knowledge and experience of financial processes and using Sage or Xero software.
INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
The following notes relate to the Assistant Manager post you have applied for. They provide general information and do not form part of any subsequent Contract of Employment.
HOURS OF WORK: Normal hours of work for a full-time post will be 40 per week.
PAY: GBP25,000 - GBP28,000/annum (Experience Dependant)
Salary will be paid 1 month in arrears, directly into your bank account in the last week of each month.
ANNUAL LEAVE / PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: The annual leave for the post is 28 days
PENSION: Optional
