Trainee Environmental Consultant

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.

Make sure all deliverables arrive to a good standard, on time, and fulfil customers' requirements.

To optimise the sales function process to maximize customer spend and company growth.

Collaborate with our team to achieve sustainable growth and development.

Survey Reports & Site Visits

Survey and identify Japanese Knotweed within a commercial or residential property including land sites and neighboring properties.

Survey and carry out Landscape audits of commercial sites.

Survey grounds maintenance and gritting sites.

Accurately and clearly fill out survey reports and collect as much information as possible.

Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy.

Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports as to our company processes and standards and using the technology provided.

Take ample photographic evidence of infestations, sites and subject areas and include a detailed site plan drawing on an OS map as to our company processes and standards.

Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.

Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.

Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).

Train assistants and helpers and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting map. Analyse survey objectives and specifications to prepare survey proposals or to direct others in survey proposal preparation.

Design criteria for survey methods and procedures.

Report on survey results and present findings to clients in a timely manner.

Upsell products on site to clients and professionally answer any questions or queries at the time of visit.

Understand and keep up to date with industry information including legal requirements in line with the PCA guidelines.

Sales & New Business

Obtain a thorough working knowledge of the company and its products.

Proactively introduce the company to new customers and target key decision makers within prospective organizations.

Seek out new business opportunities within a variety of markets and sectors.

Work closely with the Account Management team and deliver sales results on a weekly & quarterly basis.

Network and attend exhibitions to drive interest in the company and spread brand awareness.

Actively listen and understand the challenges of prospective clients and remain mindful of how we can help them as a business to fulfil their requirements.

Actively connect with existing and new clients on LinkedIn and post/share relevant information to promote our company and increase brand awareness.

GBP18,000-GBP21,000 with potential to increase with qualifications plus commission or bonus

Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30
