Concentrating our efforts on six core sectors of Industry - Engineering, Technical, Manufacturing, Textiles, Chemical and Automotive, we are currently supporting with the recruitment of a Warehouse Assistant on a permanent basis for our Prestigious client who, for the last 100 years, have established themselves within the Textiles Industry.
The Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Assistant you are responsible for the incoming and outgoing of deliveries, including the paperwork, filling of hoppers, allocation of stock, supporting with providing production with what they need ,To do this you will be required to drive an FLT in a challenging fast paced environment.
Your work area must always be kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times.
Skills:
FLT Counterbalance License refreshed in the last 3 years
• Computer literate.
• Good communication skills
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• GSCE (or equivalent) In Maths and English Language
• Demonstrated proficiency, through pre-employment testing, in reading comprehension, writing and basic maths calculations in the English language.
• Knowledge and use of computerised equipment and machinery is preferred.
• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to use problem solving techniques to help minimise production down time
• Good timekeeping and attendance record
Skills:
• Computer literate.
• Physically fit.
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• GSCE (or equivalent) In Maths and English Language.
• Demonstrated proficiency, through pre-employment testing, in reading comprehension, writing and basic maths calculations in the English language.
• Knowledge and use of computerised equipment and machinery is preferred.
• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• To have worked with carding machines and lappers along with a good Mechanical background is preferred
• Able to use problem solving techniques to help minimise production down time
• Good absence and attendance record
The Hours
This role is to work nights - Monday to Friday
10.00pm-6.05am

This is based in the WF14 post code
The Pay
GBP10.41 per hour
