Our Client a forward thinking, expanding manufacturing company is looking to recruit a driven, ambitious and experienced Senior Purchasing Assistant to join their Senior Management Team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for.
* Owning and driving the tender procurement of materials globally.
* Negotiating contracts with suppliers and clients.
* Managing full global logistics from supplier to delivery incl. shipping and storage.
* Managing, sourcing, and developing supplier relationships incl. global network of suppliers.
* Financial management incl. P&L, budgets, credit control, payments, invoicing, currency & accounting
* Delivering and managing special projects, ensuring milestones are met.
* Resolving, managing issues and problems incl. providing a point of escalation.
* Ensuring compliance with regulations and law incl. regional/local customs, import/export, contract.
* To be aware of competitor activity within the marketplace, to be in the position to react to ensure a competitive edge at all times.
* Ensuring Quality Assurance processes incl. pre-contract assessments and ongoing quality reviews.
As successful candidate you will be passionate self-starter who is able to move with speed to implement ideas with a proven track record of delivering results. You will also be an exceptional negotiator and will have the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships, an aptitude for numbers as well as dealing with other factors such as sustainability, risk management.
Previous Buyer/Procurement experience is essential as you will have final sign-off and ultimate responsibility for the full commercial operation, and a manufacturing background would be advantageous.
