Job: Project Architect / Associate
Boyd recruitment are currently recruiting for a well know Architectural firm in Glasgow. Our client has been in operation for over 30 years and have built a strong reputation for design, delivery & innovation across a number of sectors.
Throughout the course of 2020, due to the types of projects that they specialise in, they consolidated the practise to provide a team of individuals with core specialist skills mainly in the Healthcare, Science and Education sector.
The healthcare and science markets are investing heavily at present and our client has a number of projects and are in the Health Facilities Scotland framework 3 which is due to start in April 2021.
Moving into 2021, they are looking to add a senior member of staff who is self motivated, dynamic personality and driven. You must be flexible to undertake all tasks within the office with a 'hands on' approach.
The Job
This position is classified as a strategic hire. The role will be one based around growing and developing the practices client base, nurturing existing relationships and increasing the level of business within our core sectors.
As an Associate / Project Architect, you will be tasked with finding potential client / framework opportunities, reaching out to meet prospective contacts/client and developing this into tenders. You must have the personality and drive to undertake Business Development mainly in Scotland based in our Glasgow studio and bring in new projects to the office. Good communication skills are vital and currently more important due to covid restrictions.
You will also be able to submit bids, design/ use CAD for drawing, manage projects and lead a team.
The Person
The ideal person for this role will be an enthusiastic experienced architect, with demonstrable experience running & managing healthcare and scientific projects.
You may have previous business development experience, a willingness to progress and develop within a company is fully required.
The role will mainly be based in the Scotland, however some trips to projects south of the border will be required.
