JOB TITLE
Diversity and Inclusion Manager
Location for this role is flexible as the candidate will be able to work remotely, however, presence will be required in our office on occasion.
REPORTING TO
People Engagement Director
JOB PURPOSE
In this newly created role within the People Engagement Team, the Diversity and Inclusion Manager will be responsible for ensuring the diversity agendas are successfully implemented and are in line with the firm's objectives. The Diversity and Inclusion Manager will introduce diversity and inclusion programs to the firm and promote and train colleagues on inclusion issues.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing the People Engagement Team with CPD training to keep their colleagues up to date on the latest legislation and best practice associated with diversity and inclusion.
CORE TASKS
* Keep up to date with the latest thoughts / views and trends in diversity
* Research, develop and deliver strategic D&I plans taking responsibility for these and ensure they meet the needs of the firm
* Provide guidance and support to all colleagues and managers on equality and diversity issues
* Ensure the firm is kept up to date and compliant with legislation and policies associated with diversity and inclusion
* Monitor progress of our diversity and inclusion policies against the firm's objectives
* Create and run training sessions on diversity and inclusion
* Improve understanding and engagement of diversity and inclusion within the firm and communicates progress of initiatives both internally and externally
* Provide support with recruitment to ensure the process is conducted fairly and equally
* Review and update job descriptions to ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion policies
* Review the firm's workplace, procedures and policies to ensure these are all inclusive
* Accurately track and manage training budgets, forecasting current and future costs
* Be aware of Brodies' information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
* Previous experience in a professional services environment is desirable
* Passionate about promoting diversity, inclusion and equality
* Experience in supporting and influencing change
* Dedicated to the continual progression of diversity and inclusion policies
* Experience of delivering training sessions to different levels of seniority
* Computer literate - particularly in Word, Excel and Microsoft Office

* Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
* Cultural sensitivity
* Presentation and training skills
* Needs to be sharp and have the ability to identify issues and solutions quickly
* Ability to influence and persuade at all levels
* Can demonstrate experience of working successfully in a fast paced and challenging environment

* Can scope out project plans and identify and implement key requirements for product delivery
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities and a demanding workload, and able to adopt a flexible and proactive approach to work duties.
