Alternative Futures Group are a Health & Social Care Charity who support people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health in their own homes. For over 25 years AFG have been providing person-centred support across the North West, helping to create a world where people control their own lives. This role is to work in an 8-bedded specialist residential service located in the Belle Vale area of Liverpool. Here, AFG support males with diagnoses of Mental Health conditions, Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, to gain more independence and to empower each individual to be integrated into the local community. The main focus and goal is to provide high quality care and support, tailored to each individuals own personal needs, wishes and desires. Also provided is consistent person-centred support to enable each individual to continue with their progression towards living the most independent life possible. The people supported at Naylorsfield & Hartsbourne will present very challenging behaviour at times, and have a history of offences. We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join this team, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. AFG will provide you with specialist training that will help you when challenging situations arise.
