Financial Systems Support Analyst - Central Edinburgh - 9 months Fixed Term Contract
Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Financial Systems Support Analyst on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract for our financial services client in Edinburgh. You will support a wide range of financial systems including general ledger, payroll, expenses, and reconciliations - this will include answering calls on their support queue, covering daily tasks such as system reconciliations, and working occasionally on project work. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a previous background in financial system administration and any skills in Excel / VBA would be advantageous. The role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract to cover paternity leave.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Finance Systems support queue ensuring timely responses and escalations are actioned
- Assist in projects relating to systems development and implementation of new Finance software
- Ensure clear written procedures and systems notes in place and maintained for every system and process
- Co-ordinate Finance Department-related queries and issues with Information Systems Department and 3rd party support desks
- Support and provide cover for other team members
- Ensure daily processing tasks are completed within the SLA's and checklists updated accordingly
Essential:
- Experience of working in a support role
- Working knowledge of finance applications and information systems
- Systems administration experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver work to a high standard of accuracy
- Proven organisational skills, and ability to manage own workload working to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
- Investigation and diagnostic skills
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a Finance department (desirable)
- Experience of working with Infor SUN, Q&A, Proactis, Expensify, InforBI (desirable)
- Experience of working with MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Sharepoint
- Experience of working with OLAP products (desirable)
- Experience with Excel / VBA
