Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a Treasury Accountant on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Our client is a Not-for-Profit organisation who is proud to support the well-being of its employees and promote flexible working moving forwards.
The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full time basis. The salary is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the Social Housing sector.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
* Ensure the integrity of the Group's asset security database and ensure that this is a reliable single source of information to allow informed decision making and easy reference
* Co-ordinate with Group's solicitors to identify assets available for securitisation and title changes
* Arrange and co-ordinate asset valuations required for lenders purposes, including providing appropriate notifications to residents and Customer Contact Centre
* Assist in the production of short and medium term cashflow forecasts and ensure liquidity is managed in line with Treasury management policy
* Monitor the Group's loan portfolio and facilities, ensuring that all payments and drawdowns are completed in a timely manner, on-going requirements of lenders are met, and information and covenants are complied with according to legal agreements
* Managing the Group's liquidity, ensuring cash availability as and when required to meet the Group's requirements
* Managing the Group's surplus cash across a range of counterparties including evaluating and setting up new investment counterparties to maximise investment returns within the requirements of the treasury management policy
* Maintain and develop treasury debt management systems and processes
* Produce monthly management accounts and performance information for consideration by managers, directors and senior management team
* Providing detailed information that is timely and accurate for both internal and external auditors
* Work with budget holders to manage the budgetary control, forecasting, and reporting processes for all Treasury costs and Treasury related activities
* Assist in the production of annual financial statements and provide detailed working papers and other information to both internal and external auditors to assist them with their work
* Report to the regulator accurately and in a timely manner
* Take responsibility for lender relationships at the operational level, ensuring that information is provided in a timely and accurate manner in line with lenders and investment account requirements
* Contribute to the production of treasury reports for the Board
* Support the Head of Treasury across all treasury related matters to deliver the Group's annual treasury strategy and ensure the Group has sufficient liquidity to deliver its Long Term Financial Plan
Experience required:
* Social housing experience
* AAT qualification or part CCAB qualification
