About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Neighbourhood Assistant to join our client's Communities & Neighbourhoods team covering Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area on a six month fixed term basis.
Within this role you will provide support and assistance to the team to enable the provision of an effective and customer focused housing management service.
You will help and advise customers on issues relating to their tenancy including; repairs, maintenance, neighbour disputes and general housing needs as well as assist with booking and scheduling appointments, including tenancy sign ups, routine visits and telephone call backs.
Acting as the first point of contact, you will assist in the investigation of complaints, compliance issues, and antisocial behaviour recording and updating the in-house system as required. The role will also involve liaising with other teams and appropriate agencies.
The Neighbourhood Assistant position would suit a highly organised individual who can thrive in a busy environment and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
They want somebody who has:
Experience of working in an administrative/business support role and working closely with customers. Previous experience of working within a housing team is desirable but not essential.
You will be dealing with their customers on a regular basis, and need to be customer focused with excellent communication skills. This is a busy role where you will have to multi-task and so first class organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines is essential.
You may have to visit sites or other Group offices, for that reason you are required to have a driving licence and the use of your own vehicle or have alternative means of getting to the required locations
