Reporting To: Financial Controller

Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications

Location: This role will be based at Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Technician to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for supporting sales and purchase ledger, completing bank reconciliations, statutory reporting and assisting with month end and year end accounts preparation. In addition, the role will provide ad hoc support to the Financial Controller, Finance Director and Project Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

?? Provide support and guidance to the finance team across sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking, credit control and general financial processing, including:

o Provide sales ledger processing support and query resolution;

o Review the purchase ledger for anomalies;

o Review the General Ledger entries on a monthly basis;

o Manage and complete the reconciliation of the banks, following up with any queries; and

o Maintain and update company process documentation relevant to the finance function.

?? Assist with end of month and end of year accounts preparation and analysis;

o Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts (banks, stocks, fixed assets, prepayments/accruals)

o Calculating and posting recurring journals (depreciation, amortisation, rebates accrual)

o Checking and exporting supplier payment runs

o Detailed sales reporting by segment against budget

o Year end audit information

?? Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of KPIs to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance function;

?? Provide recommendations for system and process improvement;;

?? Assist in the preparation of internal and statutory returns to ensure compliance with legislation, financial instructions, scheme of delegation, policies, procedures and best practice;

?? Provide support to customers by developing and maintaining relationships which drive the performance of both the customer's business and that of Kilwaughter;

?? Provide ad hoc support to the Financial Controller, Finance Director, Project Accountant and wider business;

Essential

* Qualified Accounts Technician (ATI or equivalent) or a part-qualified accountant (CIMA, CAI, ACCA or equivalent).

* A minimum of 3 years' experience gained in a similar role.

* Experience of using an ERP system and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

* Experience in liaising & communicating effectively with non-finance team members.

* Analytical thinker with the ability to solve complex process problems and make pragmatic decisions.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning and prioritising ability.

* Results driven with a strong desire to succeed.

* Astute commercial and financial awareness.

* Demonstrates a high level of resilience.

* Computer literate with of all Microsoft Office packages.

* Possess a full current driving licence
