Development Chef (Manufacturing/NPD)
Peterhead
GBP25,000 to GBP35,000 DOE + 30 Days Holidays + Pension + Career Development
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (Some Flexibility Required).
Development Chef required for a market leading manufacturer, who have plans for significant growth and investment. They are a successful independent company who offer a personable working environment with great opportunities for training, development and progression. This is a great opportunity for a Chef looking to move from the hospitality industry to continue their career in Manufacturing and within a secure business.
The successful Development Chef will be a qualified Chef. You will have a sound understanding of ingredients and nutrition, and up to date on current food trends. Previous experience of working in restaurants and/or a production environment within a similar post is required.
The Development Chef Role:
* Producing samples and preparing customer briefs.
* Supporting the NPD team for the development of new market products, following food trends.
* Modifying existing product ranges, to keep up to date with market trends.
* Liaising with the relevant departments to ensure projects are up to date, and progress reports are monitored.
* Maintaining and updating paperwork.
* Completing factory trials.
The Successful Development Chef:
* You will be a qualified Chef.
* You will have a sound understanding of ingredients and nutrition.
* You will be up to date on the current food trends.
* Previous experience of working in a restaurant or production environment
