Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Senior BI Developer, the Business Intelligence Specialist will be responsible for the development of our Oracle Reporting environment, working closely with our Business and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Support training in the use of Oracle Reporting Tools, displaying the information in new forms
Build an understanding of our business in order to identify and address critical issues by providing data that is accurate, reliable, and ensures that information is easily available to users
Provide technical support, responding to user questions and resolving problems
Under direction, work with our business to analyse business intelligence needs
Support the design of data models, reports and visualisations to meet business needs
Documentation of BI deliverables
Provide end user support and training
Maintain departmental operating procedures as they pertain to the role
Creatively and independently, provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner
Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding emerging technologies, processes and procedures.
Coding standards and review.
Develops end-user reports and visualisations
Reviews test plans and monitors testing process to ensure that deliverables are tested
Supports end-user training and the creation of training materials.What we are looking for:

Experience of designing and developing reports and visualisations using the Oracle products set - essential
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data profiling and Data analytics
Understanding of data warehousing life cycle and data modelling and design - desirable
Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques - desirable
Technology experience:
Oracle Fusion Cloud Reporting tools including Financial Reporting, BIP and OTBI
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008R2 or above
Microsoft PowerBI and Dax
Microsoft Excel 2010 or above
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and integration Services 2008R2 or above
Experience of Business Intelligence software (e.g. SAS, Tableau)A little more about us
