Project Manager

Optima Contracting Ltd specialises in the high quality interior fit-out of commercial office space generally for blue chip clients throughout the whole of England, Wales and Scotland, ensuring we deliver high-quality installations that exceed expectations.

We are experts in acoustics and in the supply and installation of independently tested, fire-rated products. Our product development team are constantly striving to keep us as market leaders in glass partitioning systems. We have our own “Optima” branded range of partitioning systems which are highly regarded and have secured numerous industry awards.

Due to our continued success, we have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in Scotland.

Your main responsibilities will include the overall responsibility for managing projects from start to completion and you will be accountable for site managers, working foreman, site engineers and general labour.

This will also include setting up contract files, agreeing the site set up with site manager, surveyor and director and to produce the construction programme. You will produce procurement schedules – subcontract and purchase procurement schedules based on the construction programme in conjunction with the surveying team. You will also be required to produce method statements, COSHH and risk assessments as per the Health and Safety Plan.

Further responsibilities include, ensuring a drawing register is produced and maintained, placing sub-contract orders, ordering plant and materials and reporting all significant problems on the project.

Working predominantly in the central belt, you will have experience of project management in the fit-out or construction industry with a demonstrable track record in delivering high quality projects on time and within budget. Although you do not have to have working knowledge of Optima glazed partitioning and door systems, as we will provide full product training, you do need to have enthusiasm, an eye for detail, and want to work with one of the best known brands in the fit-out industry.

It is essential that you have proven experience employed as a Project Manager working for a specialist sub-contractor.

You will also be required to oversee works on site out of hours i.e.: evenings and weekends.
