Our client is a leading international organisation in the generator/power rental market. They are looking to recruit a field based generator engineer/ service engineer based in the Dundee/Perth/St Andrews area. This role will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and servicing of generator rental packages on customers sites to specification and on time
Key responsibilities:
Core Activities
* Installation of power (generator)products on customer sites
* Commission of power (generator)products on customer sites
* Attend equipment breakdowns
Other
The duties described above cover the main focus of the role, however from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business. This may include but is not limited to Yard Engineering or Field Based Servicing duties as and when the need arises.
Education/Qualifications
* Time-served Mechanical and Electrical apprenticeship
* Alternatively, a City & Guilds/ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
Skills
* Technical capability (power generation)
* Good organisational skills
* Good communication skills
* Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
Other Requirements
* Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence
* Must be able to work out of hours as and when required, and be part of the on call rota
