Whilst the majority of our employees are currently working remotely in accordance with government guidelines, we do endeavour to return to our Head Office in Harrogate, North Yorkshire as soon as we are safely able to do so. We are open to discussing long-term remote working for this particular role, although regular office visits would be required.

We are now looking for an experienced Legacy Manager to join our team.

The Role
As the Legacy Manager, you will be responsible for all of the day-to-day legacy caseload management, ensuring that all contractual, legal and regulatory obligations are met efficiently and with sensitivity. The role will also involve working closely with the Finance team to report monthly legacy income and provide forecasted future income to support the charity's plans and ambitions.
As you will be dealing directly and indirectly with bereaved relatives, solicitors and other professionals, the ability to handle your duties with tact and professionalism is essential.
Additionally, you will:
- Be involved in developing the legacy strategy and associated projects
- Identify ways to enhance our existing legacy administration processes
- Act as our subject matter expert regarding all legacy matters
About You
To join us as our Legacy Manager, you will need:
- Strong legacy management experience, including an understanding of legal and other regulations
- Extensive experience in the charity sector
- Good teamworking skills and the ability to build good working relationships with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for excellence
- A degree (or equivalent)
- A legal qualification relating to legacy management
Experience of using and improving FirstClass software for legacy management would be beneficial.
