My client a leading consultancy working in the UK water sector has an immediate requirement for a Junior CAD / Revit Technician.
This opportunity is for a junior CAD / Revit technician to join an established and growing team working across a diverse and exciting portfolio of engineering projects primarily associated with M&E design engineering.
Depending on client requirements, the project requirements may be for a Revit model to be produced, or for AutoCAD 2D/3D plans to be produced. These models may include the detailing of:
Water Treatment Plant Equipment
Odour Control
Aerations Systems
Pipework (Ductile Iron/PVC/Stainless Steel and more)
Structural Elements (Tender purposes only)
MCC Cabinets & Electrical Control Systems
Pumping Stations
Building Services
LV/HV
Drainage (Pumped & Gravity)
HVAC
Fire Suppression Systems
Way Finding Tunnel SignageQualifications
As this is a junior/intermediate role, the candidate could either have achieved a relevant Qualification which is CAD/Engineering related or should be able to demonstrate that they have experience (minimum of 2 years) working within the industry.
The candidate should have the following essential skills and experience:
Essential
AutoCAD / AutoCAD MEP (minimum of 2 years' experience)
Generic CAD Standards
CAD Template Files
xRefs (loading & unloading)
Co-Ordinates & Grid References (World Co-ordinates)
PDF software and revision workflows including mark-upsThe candidate should have the following desirable skills and experience:
Experience with OS Mapping/Site Layouts
BIM Knowledge
Experience with Point Clouds
Surveying Experience (on site)
Understanding of basic engineering principles
Pipe material selection & development including pipe diameters
Understanding of basic building regulations
An understanding of Design Development Workflows and Key Project Deliverables
