Account Consultant (Contract Recruitment)
Thomas Thor Associates provide recruitment, executive search and consulting services to the global nuclear industry and major infrastructure projects. Our clients include nuclear regulators, operators, engineering and construction companies, equipment manufacturers and research organisations
Purpose
The purpose of the job is to give our clients & candidates a high-quality service experience and help them make better staffing and career decisions. This will support Thomas Thor in developing and maintaining its reputation as the global leader in nuclear recruitment services.
Responsibilities
As an Account Consultant, your role is to manage and develop the working relationship with our candidates across the UK and globally. The role will include relationship building and full management of contractor and interim recruitment process. This role does not require new business development activity however will encourage consistent client interactions, across major existing retained and exclusive accounts.
This role is supporting a number of nationally significant multibillion-pound, clean energy and environmental development programmes.
An Account Consultant at Thomas Thor is responsible for the following;
Sourcing
• You are responsible for carrying out searches to identify and interview candidates for live vacancies with our clients. Your tasks include but are not limited to:
• Qualifying live vacancies to ensure maximum chances of successfully delivering on our commitments to our clients
• Utilizing the right tools and resources when identifying and attracting candidates to ensure our clients get access to the right mix of both active and passive candidates during the interview process
• Screening and interviewing candidates to ensure they are fully suitable (i.e. both qualified and interested) for a live job
• Building and maintaining the high-quality Thomas Thor reputation by consistent high-quality communication and relationship management with all candidates and applicants
• Proactively building our nuclear community by identifying and qualifying 'high potential' candidates and recommending these candidates for representation.
Process Management
• You are responsible for managing the full recruitment process with your clients and candidates.
• Presenting shortlisted candidates to clients to maximize the chance of moving them forward to the interview process
• Managing the interview, offer & acceptance process
o Delivering a high-quality candidate service experience to help our candidate make better career decisions
• Post-placement client & candidate relationship management
o Developing client relationships to increase repeat business
o Managing contractors who are on site working for our clients through Thomas Thor
Experience and Qualifications:
* The suitable candidate will have previous recruitment experience, resourcing and filling contract and interim roles, in a technical field
* Bachelor's degree qualified, as a minimum qualification level.
* A good understanding of UK legislation relating to Contractor and interim solutions such as IR35, Conduct Regulations, Agency Workers Regulations
* A high level of data dexterity and the ability to negotiate contractor/interim rates.
* Understanding of UK tax and payroll requirements and responsibilities
* Experience working with retained accounts, managing both clients and candidates through a defined process
* Demonstrable history of success in a fast paced and target driven recruitment role, with a focus on maintaining successful working relationships and driving positive outcomes
