Special Needs Teaching Assistant Required In Leicester!!
Location: Leicester (LE5)
Salary: GBP60-80 per day
Do you have experience working with children with Autism and Challenging Behaviour?
Perhaps you have a desire to offer support to children with additional needs?
Degree-Six are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work closely with children that have been diagnosed with Autism. The role is initially on a part-time, temporary basis with the opportunity to extend to a full-time long-term role. The specialist Primary SEN school in Leicester City cater specifically to students with Autism and Complex Needs. The school prides themselves on the friendly atmosphere and quality teaching styles.
These roles would be a great fit for individuals with the following experience:
-Experience working within SEND schools or settings supporting children or young people
-Knowledge or experience working with Autism
-Experience working with students with challenging behaviour
-Full driving licence (not essential)
-Transferrable skills relevant to working within SEND settings
-A desire to support students and make a difference to the students education!!
Role and responsibilities:
Understanding the national curriculum in order to engage in teacher lesson plans with students
Working closely in small groups or on a 1:1 basis with students that require additional support in their learning
Promoting positive choices
Offer wellbeing support to students
