Our Regional Distribution Centre in Harlow are currently recruiting for a talented and results driven Warehouse Shift Manager to join the warehouse team.
The role includes:
• Health & Safety legal obligations - adherence to Company policies and procedures and ensure Group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to
• Day-to-day team management to ensure achievement of productivity targets
• Input to warehouse cost budgeting process
• Colleague recruitment and retention - recruit, coach and develop direct reports
• Contribution to overall high levels of customer service
• Support good stock management practices
• Liaison with other operational departments
You'll have:
• Experience of managing teams of 50+ within a fast-moving warehouse operation
• Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills
• Good judgment in decision-making - ability to take responsibility for decisions and articulate reasons for decisions made in a transparent way whilst dealing with challenge effectively
• We are looking for somebody who can act as a role model for the Company values, with a desire to assume responsibility and accountability in all relevant areas
• Experience in influencing colleagues at all levels whilst actively seeking and achieving engagement in the end goal
• Exposure to high volume, absorbing pressure when results are not going to plan
• The ability to empower individuals and teams to act on customer feedback and insight.
