Procurement Coordinator
* Exeter, Devon
* GBP26,000 per year
* Company Benefits (Performance Related Bonus, 28 Days Holiday, 10% Pension, etc.)
The Opportunity:
To be a key member of the procurement function within a rapid growth business, supporting the Procurement Manager to ensure procurement activities for the business are performed in a timely and effective manner. Due to the growth of the company additional resource is needed in the procurement team and this is a newly created role to help continue to support the success of the business. There is lots of further room to develop with this role and the company as they continue to grow.
Key Duties
* Creating and submitting Purchase Orders
* Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery dates and communicating with warehouse and internal team
* Creation of new warehouse SKU codes
* Supporting the supplier returns & credit process, supplier &product non-conformities
* Assist with the on-boarding of new vendors and administration of contracts and supplier information
* Ensure Company authorisation processes are adhered to supporting the Procurement Manager and Finance Director
* Co-ordinating with suppliers on price changes
* Updating and maintain accurate data on the ERP system and producing reports
Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of procurement process, 2 years + experience in similar role
* Effective communication especially when liaising with suppliers and internal teams
* Accounting experience desirable in finance support capability
* Experience using an ERP system or related IT/HRIS systems
* Strong computer skills, MS Excel, (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas) and ability to present the results in a structured & informed manner
* Experience in fluid hands-on environment, either in start-ups or in a fast-growing SME is key
* Any procurement-related qualification would be a bonus - ongoing training and opportunities to gain related qualifications will be on offer
