HE Lecturer - Prosthetics
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: GBP34.81/hour (GBP29.20/hour + GBP5.61/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: Thursdays & Fridays (from roughly 09:00-17:00)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Sessional HE Lecturer - Prosthetics to join our busy and successful Art, Design & Media department.
In this hourly paid lecturing post you will be delivering evening teaching and learning specifically on the Prosthetics module of our BA Degree and HND course.
Working closely with management and the rest of the Reigate School or Art team, this rewarding post will give you the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College.
As part of your role you will plan, deliver and assess a variety of sessions and units on the following courses:
* Make-Up, Special Effects & Hair for Media & Performance BA (Hons) Top-Up
* theatrical, Media & Special Effects Make-Up Fda/HND
This role also involves acting as a personal tutor, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment by observing safeguarding responsibilities, promoting attendance and embedding Equality and Diversity at all times.
The successful candidate must have:
* A Teaching qualification at a minimum of Level 3 (PTTLS or AET etc)
* A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification (ideally at level 6 or above)
* Experience of teaching subject
* Solid and current industry experience of using Prosthetics
* The ability to teach both the practical and theoretical aspects of subject
* Excellent IT and Communication Skills
