e - Rostering System Administrator (Band 5)

JOB PURPOSE:

* The postholder will support the trust wide operational performance, management and development of the electronic rostering system for all staff groups including Medics.

* The post holder will lead the Divisional Management and Ward/Department teams in their allocated areas in successfully implementing the full functionality of the e-rostering system including self service, roster creation, roster administration, roster analysis/ approval, time and attendance, management dashboards, bank module and validating rosters for payroll.

* The postholder will participate in the process of benefits realisation arising from the changes made, to contribute to the development of a Benefits Realisation Plan for e-Roster and collect system data and user information to measure benefits realised.

* The post holder will provide an efficient and effective high quality rostering data administration service supporting the use and maintenance of electronic rostering throughout the trust including integration with the temporary staffing system for all staff groups.

Location: Bradford

Temporary: Expected to last 6 months with possible extension

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GBP15 to GBP17.65 per hour (Umbrella) or GBP12.74 to GBP15.66 per hour (PAYE Inclusive of Holiday)

System Administration

* Responsible for the maintenance and updating of an effective system to evaluate and ensure that both ESR (Electronic Staff Records) and MAPS Healthroster databases are synchronised using the ESR Gateway tool in MAPS Healthroster in conjunction with ESR.

* Provide system administration ensuring accurate maintenance of data within the system and allocation of appropriate user responsibilities.

* Maintenance of high quality data within the system through data cleansing

* Responsible for the production and maintenance of project protocols and standard operating procedures as developed by the System Manager.

Implementation and system support

* Act as first level support for access and software issues diagnosing and resolving day to day system queries, errors or malfunctions independently escalating issues where necessary.

* Assist with the management and support of the increasing user base for the system, including the provision of appropriate new starter and upgrade training and the writing/updating of user manuals for both clinical and other operational staff.

* Liaise with the IT department to ensure that the system is available and accessible to all users and to liaise where necessary with the Allocate help desks.

* To support and develop relationships with Finance, Workforce information team and the Nurse Bank team, and the Medical Implementation Rostering Team.

Performance management

* Support the design and upkeep of an effective system to evaluate and measure system software benefits.

* To collect and prepare activity data as directed including efficiency indicators on roster production, utilisation of staff and performance of the software.

* Assist in the evaluation and assessment of the software's benefits producing reports where necessary and reporting back to the Project Board, Executive team and Divisional Managers.

* Assist in the preparation and distribution of KPI reports on a monthly basis.
