Sales Development Engineer - IT & Electronics Sector

Job Role
This role offers fantastic ongoing training & development opportunities. The successful applicant will be integral to the Company success. Customer engagement is of key importance for this position, alongside an ability to use your technical sales knowledge to build the pipeline, generate growth and maximize customer relationships.
The successful applicant will demonstrate confidence in sharing new ideas and will strive to keep updated with market developments, competitors, customer demand and new product lines to develop their business acumen, customer liaison and soft skills. Maximizing sales and revenue opportunities through B2B relationship building is the key focus of this position and applicants will need to demonstrate resilience and a passion to succeed.
This position would be perfect for someone from an internal sales role, account management, B2B technical sales engineer or business developer within a technology business.
Responsibilities within the team
* To manage inbound customer calls and email queries to problem solve, sell and support as required.
* To liaise with customers identified from Marketing Qualified Leads and provide an exemplary level of service
* To have a strong understanding of KPI's and engage in sales generation activities to maximise new and lapsed business opportunities across a variety of sectors
* Forecast & create a well-qualified pipeline of sales opportunities to build upon - take responsibility for managing personal lead queues and demonstrate a proactive outlook
* Work with product specialists to resolve customer issues and provide technical advice
* Recognise, recommend continuous improvement projects to further develop Inside Sales
* To understand, evaluate and apply technical information to customer requirements and provide an innovative approach to develop prospect B2B sales.
* Work with Sales Managers to further develop and evolve the SDE function within the business
* To provide thought leadership and mentorship to SDE's and other Inside Sellers as required
* Perform various campaigns around trade shows, specific events, or targets in addition to ongoing primary lead generation activities.
* Meet or exceed quotas for qualified leads
* Other ad-hoc duties may be added as business needs change.
* Establish, develop and maintain business and customer relationships

08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday (08:45 - 15:45 Friday)
