Information Security Specialist

Role

This role will act as part of the regional (EMEA) security team, the Information Security Specialist will be responsible for supporting the delivery of information security services to the EMEA business in line with global Enterprise Information Security policies, standards and processes.

The primary duties of the Information Security Specialist are to carry out EMEA information security operations and engineering work, and to provide information security best practice guidance and consultancy to stakeholders in IT and the business.

As a subject matter expert, the Information Security Specialist's role will include: Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place to meet overall IT compliance requirements. Conducting periodic reviews to measure the ongoing effectiveness of security controls (technical, administrative/procedural and physical).

Profile

Applicants will have the ability to understand and interpret business needs; to propose proportionate and pragmatic security solutions which support and enable the business whilst minimising risk.

We are looking for Intermediate/advanced levels of competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and Visio

5+ years of IT work experience, at least 2 years of which were in an information security specialist role.

Knowledge of standards and regulations such as: ISO2700x, NIST Cyber Security Framework, SOX, GDPR.

Good understanding of Cloud Computing (SaaS and IaaS) concepts, Microsoft Windows, Web Servers, Database Technologies, IP Networks, mobile devices.

Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Office 365 security concepts are highly desirable.

Good understanding of networking principles and security technologies such as, TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, Firewall, DLP, SIEM, Web Proxy, WAF, eDiscovery, Cryptography, Mobile Device Management (MDM), DRM/IRM, Cloud computing (SaaS, IaaS), Cloud Security, Vulnerability Assessments, Endpoint Security, SDLC, Application Security tools, (etc).
