My local authority client are looking for a Customer Liaison Officer to join their busy Loughborough team on a 12 month contract starting as soon as possible, working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm (37 hours per week), paying GBP15 per hour.

The purpose of the role is to provide effective liaison between tenants, leaseholders and contractors and will include some of the following duties:

* Problem solving issues and complaints in relation to decent homes, repairs and other improvement works

* Monitoring programmes of work

* Leading, managing and mentoring the apprentice customer liaison officer

* Managing the adaptations programme, including managing a budget of GBP600k p/annum

* Assisting with arranging access to properties where tenants have not responded to attempts to make appointments for work to be done, including gas servicing, asbestos surveys and removal and decent homes work

* Investigating complaints and queries, responding to tenants in writing, in person and over the phone, administering and updating the LAGAN database

* Identifying vulnerable tenants and their support needs

* Arranging alternative accommodation, decanting, packing, removals and unpacking, transfer of utilities and services and associated works for tenants who are being decanted/moving back to their own homes following works, liaising with families where necessary

To be considered for the post you must:

* Have experience of working with tenants or community groups

* Have experience of working with contractors delivering repairs/decent homes works

* Have working knowledge of health and safety issues in relation to adaptations

* Have excellent communication skills

* Have experience of budget management and control

* Have experience of partnership working and developing tenant groups

* Drive and have access to your own vehicle for the purposes of work
