Key Accountabilities

*Review, develop and implement innovative processes and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of the services offered to students and staff including, but not limited to, enrolments, academic progress, result submission and graduations, in accordance with College policies and degree awarding accreditation.

*Lead, manage and coordinate the staff and activities of the student and client facing service, enrolments, and accreditation areas in order to establish and maintain a team culture and a strong customer service ethic consistent with the College's strategic objectives

*To advise students on relevant policies and procedures relating to, amongst other matters, complaints, and academic appeals.

*To be a conduit for students who require reasonable adjustments under equality legislation and liaise with the relevant teaching teams to ensure these adjustments are made.

*To communicate decisions made by Assessment Panels.

*To manage the Student Services Officer and other colleagues as required to ensure the effective delivery of administrative support for student services

*To be responsible for monitoring overall student attendance and implementing strategies to support students with poor attendance.

*To be a first port-of-call for students with pastoral concerns (outside of their normal academic studies) and to be able to signpost appropriate welfare options to support a student's needs.

*To be responsible for overseeing and formalising a student representative system and supporting student representatives in the fulfilment of their role.

*To co-ordinate and attend, as required, Staff-Student liaison meetings to provide a platform for students to partner in the delivery of their experience.

*To encourage and work with students to play a full role in the quality assurance of their academic programme of study (e.g. through programme approvals, annual monitoring, etc.).

*Co-ordinating student feedback obtained through formal and informal methods (e.g. unit & module feedback questionnaires) and to ensure that appropriate responses to the survey(s) are fed back to the students.

*In consultation with IT Services determine new functionality, enhancements, and maintenance of the student management system to ensure the integrity and accuracy of student and statistical data.

*Liaise with Programme Leaders module leaders and personal tutors, to ensure that all staff/consultants are provided with an accurate and regular flow of information in relation to student administrative activities.

*Coordinate regular information exchange between all areas so that there is a shared understanding of responsibilities and activities.

*Contribute to the production of the Programme Handbook and Prospectus and the development of material for inclusion in the College website and other publications as required.

*Manage the efficient and timely electronic upload of student results and provide the necessary data to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders. Provide expert advice on policies and procedures relating to results and unsatisfactory academic performance including the preparation and distribution of all reports and statistical data as required.

*Liaise with the College's marketing agency in coordinating and managing the responsibilities of student administration in the efficient organisation of the College's accreditation processes
