My client is a well-established, nation-wide, industrial cleaning company who are looking for new full-time labourers/cleaning operatives to join their team. They will be based at a cement works in Cauldon, Stoke-on-Trent.
This job is best suited to candidates with previous building site experience, as this is a physical role involving manual handling and working outdoors as well as in confined spaces.
If you successfully complete the 12 week probationary period, they are offering an attractive salary, a company pension scheme, and a 6 monthly bonus scheme (scored on health and safety, absence, timekeeping and attitude).
This job is best suited to candidates with previous building site experience, as this is a physical role involving manual handling and working outdoors as well as in confined spaces and difficult to access areas.
You will be working as part of a team carrying out various industrial cleaning tasks including tank cleaning, site clearance and spill response.
Day to day activities will include:
* Manually breaking up and moving materials on industrial sites such as concrete, cement, slurry, sludge's etc.
* Use of various hand tools including shovels, pick-axes, pneumatic tools, wheel barrows, hammers etc (to break up and move the above materials).
* Sweeping and shoveling, using brushes
* Using a large vacuum hose to vacuum up solids, sludge's and liquids.
* Jet washing down surfaces
