Your new company
I'm recruiting for a Global professional services business going through a period of expansion. As part of this growth they are seeking an additional .NET Developer to work from their head office location in Southampton, with direct transport links to most of Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and London (1.5 hours away). This role will offer hybrid working after Covid, with 2-3 days at home the likely split.

Your new role
The business brought in a new Development Manager in 2020 and there's a real buzz about the team. This coupled with a busy pipeline of work make this an exciting role for the right candidate. The role offers the chance to work on database projects, 3rd line application support and to liaise with other key stakeholders and will cover a good percentage of new greenfield builds.

The development projects being varied is representative of working for a company with a global reach. The team have implemented DevOps and now champion continuous improvement. You'll be expected to embrace this and to share knowledge regularly, getting behind Agile principles.

There are good progression opportunities available with this role as you'll be joining a fresh team who operate a meritocracy. Longer term the aim is to fully digitalise the department and the move to web development and the associated MVC/JavaScript technologies were the first steps towards this.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a Full Stack C# .NET Developer, with experience using a modern JS framework (they use React in-house). .NET Core is the go-to standard for web builds.

Historically it has been a Winforms environment so there is a portion of work that involves Legacy applications/services but the majority of work involves refactoring old projects or greenfield deliveries.

We need someone that is a proponent of Agile and SOLID principles, and ideally wants to learn a bit about DevOps tooling. ( CI, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, TFS).

What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a salary up to GBP47000 plus bonus, excellent pension contributions, flexible working and 25 days holiday from day 1. There is free parking on site and a genuine opportunity to make your stamp on a newly formed Development department. As mentioned the plan is to offer 2-3 days work from home longer term.
