Ocean Import Clerk

A global logistics provider is seeking an Import Clerk to join their expanding team in Ipswich.

Responsibilities:

* Dealing with Customs clearance

* Overseas Freight Bookings - dealing with Ocean Imports from Worldwide destinations

* Creating bookings within the company system

* Dealing with overseas agents and UK customers

* Deal with all enquiries and queries quickly and efficiently relating to customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates and any other documentation requirements

* Support and advise all customers whilst ensuring the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC

Requirements:

* Strong understanding of Import operations

* Knowledge of customs formalities, legislation & tariff clarifications

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Previous experience of Customs clearance

* Knowledge of Destin8 and CNS
