Location : Chelmsford Essex
Fixed term 6 month contract
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE;
Knowledge/qualifications demonstrating ability in numeracy and literacy. Full competent in the use of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, especially when financial reports are being read and reconciled for reporting purposes.
Experience of dealing with Members and the public using all mediums
Ability to prioritise own work to support business priorities. Manages own performance and seeks feedback to improve where identified
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally
Proficiency with Microsoft applications- Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Required to be mobile throughout the operational area and therefore a valid driving licence and use of car where not provided, unless the role can be undertaken effectively by alternative transport arrangements
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (including report writing)
Proven ability to act as a valuable team player
YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Processing all financial elements within DM, including the allocation of payments received and paying in of cheques. Raising invoices as requested and reconciling the month end transaction report to provide monthly income and progress to performance targets. Undertaking the process to return bonds held against schemes.
Providing high quality responses to written enquires where information is available electronically and to forward promptly to Highway Record Team where further research is required
Liaising closely with asset management in the recording of new assets on the Essex network
Monitoring the issuing of certificates for developments to ensure that to ensure that all monies including bonds are accounted for, correctly recorded and released in a timely manner. To liaise with developers to ensure bonds are secured to protect ECC for any future liability and release bonds at appropriate stages of development.
Supporting the process for Advance Payment Code outlined in section (Apply online only) of the Highways Act 1980 using apportionment figures provided by the Engineering Team, ensuring monies and/or bonds are secured and released in a timely manner. Where roads remain private, ensure inspections undertaken and unilateral agreements for management companies are in place.
