THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity for you to join a specialist manufacturing company as their Planning and Supply Chain Manager, based from their modern production facility in Immingham. Operating as part of a wider group of companies, this business is long-established and develops innovative and quality products that meet customer needs on a national and international scale.
Your role as Planning and Supply Chain Manager will see you managing every stage of the supply chain from processing customer orders to delivery of the final products. You will be the central focus of communication between departments and will utilise MRP to plan and track the end to end supply chain.
THE DUTIES
As the company's Planning and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team to ensure excellent customer service is delivered. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement and work to develop new systems that improve customer service, minimise risk and maximise performance. You will bring a resilient and determined approach, with an enthusiastic manner and an excellent aptitude for systems.
Your duties will include:
Ensuring customer orders are reviewed for material requirements and production capacity
Consolidating and updating forecasts to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained
Determining packaging and raw materials needed to cover production demand and ensuring purchases are delivered within required timescales
Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance, minimum delay and cost efficiency
Negotiating prices, contracts and lead times while developing new and existing supplier relationships
Monitoring production tasks to ensure they will finish on time and within deadlines
Managing working capital by minimising excess stock while ensuring the required supply of products

The salary on offer will be dependent on your level of experience.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
To be shortlisted for the position of Planning and Supply Chain Manager you will need to bring:
Comprehensive experience of working in supply chain management
A recognised business, supply chain or planning qualification
In-depth knowledge of MRP systems and reporting systems
Strong negotiating and purchasing skills
A flexible approach to working hours and job content
Excellent managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Ideally, you will also come from a manufacturing sector background and have working knowledge of ERP systems.
