Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for a Registered Residential Services Manager to work within a Charitable Trust organisation with a fantastic reputation in the local area.

The Registered Residential Services Manager will lead the residential team to ensure you provide a high-quality service that supports the rights of residents to live the lives they choose.

Key responsibilities

* You will efficiently manage the day to day running of the residential home.

* Allocate resources and monitor staff performance to deliver high quality care to service users within budget.

* You will manage the staff team with support from the HR manager and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their roles and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.

Duties and specific responsibilities -

Manage the safety and quality of the residential home

* Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with organisational policies and procedures and legislative requirements

* Undertake training and development to keep up to date with the law, best practice and changes in organisational policy. Apply this knowledge to the day to day management and delivery of care

* Have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and ensure compliance at all times

* Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements and to ensure the effective running of the residential home

* Implement quality management and improvement systems. Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out audits relating to the quality of the service and use findings to make improvements

* Be prepared to work flexibly and outside core business hours to ensure the safe delivery of the service

Provide good service to service users

* Promote the rights of each service user and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support

* Apply excellent communication skills with service users, their families and representatives, staff and other health and social care professionals

* Ensure confidentiality is promoted and adhered to in line with Data Protection guidance

Lead and manage staff

* Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort

* Motivate and inspire team members

* Lead by setting a good example

* Provide information, guidance and ongoing support to enable staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles

* Carry out supervisions and monitoring of staff performance

* Identify ongoing training needs and ensure staff are up to date with current best practice

* Implement organisational policies and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.

Promote the organisation

* Attend external meetings and represent the organisation in a positive manner

* Participate in the growth and development of the charity

* Promote the charities vision, mission and values

Salary - GBP29,000 per annum
