We are currently recruiting a supply chain management role with a market-leading product and national distributor based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Backgrounds as Buying Manager / Supply Chain Manager in a retail or wholesale environment would thrive in this environment.
With a history and reputation for supplying brands and products to a national customer base, the business is searching for a Strategic Supply Chain Manager to manage a GBP90m product portfolio that consists in excess of 10,000 lines.
It's a pivotal role to support the companies 5-year strategy, driving team performance and systems that are fit for purpose to achieve the S&OP strategy that forecasts commercial cycles over the next 1 to 2 years and beyond.
The role will have autonomy and responsibility for developing and implementing the Supply Chain strategy plans, KPIs and SLA's.
The successful candidate must have proven leadership qualities and be able to mentor, coach and develop individuals that directly report into the post, while empowering the rest of the team to drive performance.
Key outcomes of the role are to impact on all of these areas:
* Develop and implement the stock optimisation strategy
* Develop and meet the needs of the customer achieving high customer satisfaction
* Develop systems in process and technology that optimize commercial performance
* Determine spend on stock items in terms of frequency and volumes ordered
The Supply Chain Manager role calls for an experienced and professionally qualified professional with considerable experience in supply chain management, ideally within retail, wholesale, distribution environments.
This is a great opportunity for someone from a Purchasing Manager / Buying Manager / Supply Chain Manager background.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* The development & delivery of integrated processes
* Achieve optimal supply chain performance
* Manage and report on work in progress and physical stock to meet targets across the business
* Ensure compliance with the Company's Supply Chain/Logistics Policies and standards
* Be a leader, with a passion for supporting the development of people, whilst maintaining the commitment to make difficult decisions as necessary
The person:
* Strong commercial acumen
* Ability to build an end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions that are synonymous with outstanding customer service, operational excellence and optimal profitability
* Demonstrate a track record of success in leading and developing multi-disciplined teams
* Have the ability to lead a multi-disciplined team
* Be a proven change enabler, driving Supply Chain improvements and operational excellence
* Degree/MBA or equivalent
Salary:
GBP50,000 - GBP52,500 + package
