Python Developer (Programmer Software Engineer Python Senior Lead Amazon Web Services AWS Aurora Lambda EC2 ECS SQL Finance Trading Data Java Microservices Asset Manager Investment Management Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London.
You MUST have the following:
- Advanced experience as a Python Developer/Programmer/Software Engineer
- Strong experience designing and building Python microservice applications
- Python service to service API experience
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with a SQL RDBMS, such as SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Finance/trading/banking/asset management
- Java
- Experience as a project of delivery lead
Role: Python Developer (Programmer Software Engineer Python Senior Lead Amazon Web Services AWS Aurora Lambda EC2 ECS SQL Finance Trading Data Java Microservices Asset Manager Investment Management Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London. You will be joining a team of 8 spread over London and New York. The team has implemented a 3rd party enterprise data management (EDM) system that provides historical pricing data. It is populating a database that requires API's so that data can be extracted. These API's need to be created in the next 3-6 months. After this, there will be further project work to be completed that includes financial data. The environments are all hosted in AWS.
It is important that you come into the position with good experience of Python microservices and service to service API's. Any experience in finance, particularly trading, is also desirable but not essential. Knowledge of gRPC and Aurora would also be beneficial but are not essential.
