Accounts Payable Administrator
Location: Larbert, FK5 4NQ, Stirlingshire.
Salary: Competitive plus benefits.
Contract: Full time, Fixed Term Contract to end of Feb/Mar 2022, 37.5 hours per week.
James Jones & Sons Ltd is one of the UK's largest and most progressive timber companies with core activities in sawmilling, I-Joist and pallet manufacture. We operate five sawmills throughout Scotland; an engineered wood manufacturing plant in the north of Scotland and have pallet and packaging operations at sixteen sites across the UK.
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator with enthusiasm, drive and positive attitude to cover maternity leave at our Head Office.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the processing of supplier's invoices is carried out as per company policy and right first-time approach.
Main Duties
• Process high volume of authorised supplier invoices
• Maintaining Accounts Payable inbox
• Responsible for weekly BACs run and manual payments
• Posting daily bank payment transactions relating to AP function
• Liaising with cost centre managers and/or suppliers to resolve invoice queries
• Maintaining supplier accounts and reconciliations
• Processing and paying staff expenses
• Review and approve haulage invoices
• Other ad hoc projects, reports, analysis, and supporting the Management Accountant
About the Successful Candidate:
• Purchase Ledger experience is essential
• Proactive and able to use initiative
• Computer skills are also essential (proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook) as well as the ability to multitask. The successful candidate should be numerate, an effective communicator with a pleasant telephone manner and friendly disposition
• Must be able to prioritise work to meet payment deadlines and be able to work under pressure with accuracy at all times.
Desirable Skills:
Prior knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be advantageous but not essential.
You should be able to demonstrate the above skills and have experience of working in a similar role.
