Our well-established Network Rail Training Centre is looking for a dedicated Receptionist/works co-ordinator to handle customer-facing duties as well as general office administration and facilities tasks. When our Learners walk into our office, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

General Scope: To ensure all guests are received in a #Be Authentic manner and our culture and values are presented every day. To make sure the front of house, meeting rooms and the hospitality suite are efficiently managed to the standards of which Network Rail expect. This role is diverse between fronts of house and administrate tasks; this will require you to be proactive and efficient in your delivery to create a smooth daily operation.

Salary GBP19,800:00 p.a.

Responsible for providing front line customer interface, general admin and facilities support at the centre

Example duties to include:

Operating the front door access for visitors, deliveries and delegates, maintaining security by following company procedures

*

Welcome all visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have

*

Preparing course registers for delegate sign in

*

Ensuring all delegates receive a welcome safety brief and are issued with lanyards and access fobs (where appropriate)

*

Dealing with extremal contracted Trainers, issuing badges, monitoring their access arrangements and conducting safety briefs when centre updates occur

*

Dealing with deliveries, ensuring stock is put away safely and conducting regular stock checks for forwarding to WDCA for re-order of stock.

General filing, photocopying and administration support for centre staff

*

Co-ordinating with Trainers to ensure all delegate lunches are ordered along with fruit and milk stocks.

*

Signing in/out of access keys and equipment to Trainers/external contractors.

*

Monitoring break out areas regularly and ensuring all areas are cleaned and rubbish disposed of appropriately e.g. disposing of any rubbish on tables, loading and unloading the dishwasher, checking floor for spillages/general clean up, replenishing tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc and ensuring cups and glasses are always available.

Monitoring fridges to ensure health and safety of food storage is maintained
