Sue Ross Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer who design and manufacture at a purpose built facility on the outskirts of South Sheffield.
As Service Engineer, you will provide cover primarily in the South of the United Kingdom (you will ideally be based in the Cambridge area) as directed by the Service Team Leader, servicing of customer's products to include: -
* Fault finding & diagnostics
* Re-insulation (preparation of materials and assembly)
* Metalwork fabrication (preparation of simple components)
* Electrical wiring (wiring/re-wiring of products to standard practices).
* Pneumatics/hydraulics.
* Configuration of temperature controllers and recorders.
* Thermocouple replacement.
* Test (final inspection / burn-off / function testing of repaired products).
* Contract inspection and reporting.
* Calibration of digital temperature indicators & workspaces.
* Temperature surveying.
* Thermography.
The position will require regular travel, so an ability to accept unsociable hours and/or overnight stays from time to time will be required. Occasionally travel outside of the UK may be necessary.
Key skills and qualifications: -
Suitable candidates will ideally be from an industrial background and have a minimum of C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations and at least 3 years' experience
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics/drawing and experience with wiring special purpose machinery.
Site installation and accreditation to 18th Edition wiring regulations would be advantageous.
A full clean driving licence is required.

Package: -
Basic salary circa GBP30k based on experience and qualifications.
Company Car.

Salary Sacrifice Pension Plan with 7.5% employer contributions and a death in service policy.
