This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and well organised administrator to join EDP and our Devon community-based Together Drug & Alcohol service.

Based: Newton Abbot
Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week (Mon, Thurs, Fri)
Salary: £17,675 - £18,685 per annum FTE pro rata (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
You’ll be part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in South Devon where you will have an important role to play in supporting service users to make positive changes and helping us work towards our mission.
Day to day duties will involve general administration to support the service with its operational commitments: ensuring the smooth running of the team by dealing with general enquiries, providing an efficient reception service, managing incoming phone calls and welcoming service users and visitors. Other key duties will include collating data, maintaining databases, producing reports, working within Microsoft Outlook to maintain diaries and co-ordinate appointments, working alongside our clinical team to generate prescriptions for service users, and carrying out various health and safety checks in the workplace. You’ll work closely with other administration teams across the service to support the day to day needs of - not only our service and partners - but also our service users and their carers.
What we’re looking for
This varied and wide-ranging role will suit someone with previous team administrative experience who thrives in a busy environment where they can organise their own workload and priorities. You’ll work in a structured way, ensuring that all work tasks are completed effectively and efficiently on a consistent basis.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, be able to build effective working relationships with a range of people, and have a great understanding and knowledge of administration processes. You’ll have strong IT skills, and will be proficient with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
We’re ideally looking for someone who is available on Monday, Thursday and Friday but other working patterns may be considered on an individual basis.
