The HR Manager will report into the Dudley Site Manager, with a functional reporting line into the wider HR Team. As a value-added site, Dudley produces over 300,000 packs of ready-to-cook chicken and turkey products, supported by a workforce of 220 people. This role is ideal for someone who is a confident HR generalist at HR Manager level looking for a new challenge or someone at HR Officer level that is ready to take that next step in their career up to HR Manager.

Purpose of the role
The HR Manager works as a key member of the Site Operational Team and the wider HR Operational Structure, to ensure all the people elements of the colleague lifecycle are professional delivered and compliant with legal and company policy, whilst supporting operational effectiveness.

Your key responsibilities will include:
??Be the first point of contact and provide comprehensive and detailed HR advice and support to all levels of management. Ensuring consistent application of HR processes across the site
??Monitor and support the sites compliance with human rights and ethics policies, support audits and provide guidance to managers
??In partnership with Site Operational Team, manage headcount requirements including actual vs planned, retention and forecasting at all levels to create the sites recruitment and retention plan
??Support and ensure the delivery of the sites learning and development plan working with the with Site Operational Team along with the development of a succession planning to identify further requirements
??Develop and drive employee engagement strategy with a strong focus on embedding our values by leading on activities such as the Employee Forum, Trade Union meetings, Listening Groups etc
??With the Site Manager, lead the Avara in the Community initiative to support local causes
??Provide and monitor up to date KPI information on compliance matters
??Support and lead on any people change projects
??Work closely with the wider HR Operational Team, HR Shared Service, People Development and Resourcing Team to deliver full HR provision to site
??Liaise and lead on relationships with external partners such as Occupational Health, Training Providers and Agency Partners
??Due to the size of the site and being a stand-alone HR role there will be a requirement to undertake HR administrative tasks to fulfil the requirements of the role. Support will be given by the Site Administrator

What we are looking for:
??CIPD level 5 qualified or above and committed to continued professional development
??Strong knowledge in employment law and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience managing HR issues, within in a FMCG organisation
??Ability to manage own workload and be able to prioritise tasks
??A proactive nature to ensure achieving results are achieved not just personally but also for the benefit of the site team and the business
??Effective communicator who can develop strong relationships
??Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office Packages
??Full clean UK driving license
