Conrad Finance are pleased to be supporting an award-winning Engineering Consultancy who due to continued growth are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running of their successful offices.

This exciting permanent role will be based on the outskirts of Edinburgh but also includes some home/ remote working.

The successful candidate will have previous Practice / Office management experience gained in the Architectural, Engineering, Design, or Professional Services Industry, be comfortable working on their own initiative and making decisions whilst possessing excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

This full-time role will include providing support to the Board of directors and a full range of Office Management, HR, PA and Payroll duties including:

You will attend Board, Directors and Senior staff meetings and take meeting minutes as required
Responsible for all the Training, Development and Supervision of the admin staff
Carry out appraisals identifying development needs and training needs for admin staff
Liaise with employment agencies regarding recruitment and new hires
Issue new contracts and offer letters to new staff joining the business
You will liaise with Senior Financial Administrator regarding Payroll and Pensions and liaise with the Payroll company directly on a monthly basis to make sure payments are made on time and accurately
Keep up to date with employment legislation to support senior management team
You will keep up to date on any new policy and procedures relating to the business and make recommendations
Organise the Bi-annual general staff meetings
You will co-ordinate bi-annual appraisals with line managers
Support and management of other branch office managers
Take the lead in implementing any new H&S policies as required
Office Meeting presentations / input
Regularly update the office Manual's as required
Manage the I.T. Support contracts and other business contracts with all third parties
Be responsible for the individual office Insurances - Obtaining quotes and ensuring best deal for appropriate level of cover.
Ensuring adequate resource and cover is provided for each task
Organisation of administrative tasks required for any new offices or corporate buy-outs.The successful candidate will be required to have:

Detailed knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Previous Office / Practice management experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
A positive and can-do attitude
