Broiler Farm Manager

Role: Poultry Farm Manager

Responsible to: Company Owner

Job purpose:

The key responsibility of this position is ensuring that the stock produced is of the highest standard.

Tasks and Responsibilities

To proactively maintain the site to a high standard through:

* Managing the farm to ensure that bird welfare is never compromised.

* Ensuring that conditions and treatment avoid mental suffering to the stock

* Managing and monitoring bird performance

* Managing ventilation, heating, feed, and water consumption etc

* Staff management

* Communication with relevant departments

* Ensuring all hygiene rules are followed and enforced

* Being responsible for all site security and bio-security - ensuring all staff, visitors and contractors adhere to site rules.

* Managing house hygiene

* Accurate record keeping

* Adhering to all Farm Health and Safety rules and procedures.

* Any other reasonable requests

Skills and Experience Required

Any successful applicant will need the following skills:

* Proven experience and success within the industry (Salary dependent on experience)

* Highly motivated with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness and enthusiasm to take on new challenges

* Flexible and adaptable

* Proactive and driven
