We are looking for a proactive Office Manager to work for a busy housing contractor based in Bedford. Experience within responsive repairs / reactive maintenance would be desirable, however experience in social housing is essential. As an Office Manager you will be a first point of contact with residents and subcontractors if they are calling the office to inquire about the ongoing works.
Your daily duties will consist of assisting with the preparation of all relevant documentation, updating and creating spreadsheets as well as entering data onto trackers (feedback cards, inspections, surveys), filing, scanning and collating the required paperwork.
As an Office Manager you will be assisting a project team with a smooth running of a contract. It is a great opportunity to get your foot at the door with a reputable main contractor and work your way up. They are looking for someone who is able hit the ground running.
- Confident user of Excel (spreadsheets in particular), MS Office, Power Point.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and ability to prioritise the workload.
- Previous experience in social housing sector (ideally repairs)
- Polite and calm telephone manner
