Conveyancing Assistant
Baseline recruit is working with a prestigious client with a long and successful history in recruiting for a conveyancing assistant on a permanent basis. If you are an experienced conveyancing assistant and want to work for an established, friendly and professional business, this could be the role for you!
Main purpose of role:
Efficiently work with other team members to provide a clear and comprehensive conveyancing service to clients while contributing to the overall success of the company, pro-actively promoting the firm's services and image and brand.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• To meet clients and provide the necessary advice and services.
• To ensure that all client work is dealt with efficiently and that the client is kept regularly informed about progress and costs.
• Providing quotations to clients based on the prescribed fee scale.
• To correspond with clients and other professionals and respond to all correspondence and communications promptly.
• To prioritise work to meet deadlines agreed with the client or any other party involved with the matter.
• To uphold the highest standards of work and professional conduct.
• To maintain and foster good business relationships with third parties and clients.
• To provide accurate documentation, reports and correspondence following office practices and precedents, to timescales as required.
• To liaise with other team members to ensure work is allocated in an efficient manner and assist other team members with their workload as required.
• Preparing letters correspondence and applications such as, contracts, completion statements, SDLT forms and submission, searches and Land Registry applications with supervision as needed.
• To prepare and request accounting services such as cheques, invoices and bank transfers.
• To make and receive high volumes of telephone calls and email correspondence.
• Preparing and completing standard conveyancing forms.
• Administration functions such as ling, le closure, scanning/faxing and collating documents.
• Ability to work on own and manage daily work responsibilities with the assistance of a case management system and supervision.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment with changing priorities
Familiarity with conveyancing case management and dictation desirable but not essential
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent phone manner
Work effectively in a team or on own initiative
Highly organized
Effective time management
Computer literate
