SEND Teaching Assistant Urgently Required to Support Pupils With Autism

This is a full time, ongoing role.

Schools Mutual Services, with a HQ in a large Secondary School in Durham and a hub in Newcastle, are working on behalf of The Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust covering Newcastle, Gateshead, Washington, Sunderland and Durham.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, hard-working, flexible and conscientious person to join one of our partner Secondary schools as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant.

The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively in the school to help teaching staff provide excellent learning opportunities for their children.

This is an important and responsible position and it is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate:

Experience of working with Secondary aged pupils with Autism

?? Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively

?? Initiative and the ability to work in a proactive way

?? Punctuality and reliability

?? A positive attitude and outlook

?? A desire to support children to reach their potential and never giving up on them

Essential Qualifications:

TA qualification or equivalent

Graduates with relevant experience welcome to apply
