This role is about leading the professional lettings service for our residential and commercial properties in the South West Region with direct responsibility for residential and commercial lettings on some of our Devon estates including Killerton. Working within a team you'll ensure that the region achieves the best standards of property management and contribution to National Trust strategic aims by leading for the region in this work area.
As the Residential & Commercial Lettings Manager you'll work with the Estate Management teams to support the management of the Let Estate in the South West and will be based in the Killerton Hub office. This will include advising on and implementing different forms of tenancy and other legal agreements including rent reviews, licences and leases. You'll also support with specifications and the refurbishment of our let properties.
You'll use internal and external data to inform decision making and bring new ideas to maximise commercial and environmental opportunities and use our rural property assets for the best results.
Working as part of a wider team you'l be a professional advocate for the National Trust and ensure strong relationships are built both internally and externally. You'll liaise and negotiate with tenants and resolve disputes with third parties. If you don't have all the information you need, you'll know who to ask and where to find it.
You'll be the regional lead that supports and directs the wider Lettings Officer team across the South West to deliver the services outlined above.
Working with our Building Supervisors, you will ensure we meet all the necessary legislative standards around letting property.
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive knowledge of the residential & commercial lettings environment including relevant legislation and how that translates to National Trust Strategy
- Full ARLA accreditation or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively on a regional scale providing excellent consultancy services and leadership
- The ability to listen and negotiate to resolve issues as they arise
