Summary of the Role

Resourceful and flexible applicant sought to deliver specialist animal handling and euthanasia, necropsy and tissue sampling in a dynamic high containment post mortem environment to support statutory animal disease surveillance and research and support outbreak response, The role is based within the Pathology and Animal Science Department and requires organization of staff, facilities and resources to ensure the delivery of animal euthanasia and necropsy procedures within our large animal high containment post mortem facility in order to meet rapidly evolving research and diagnostic priorities

Staff will be required to work rostered weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional evenings for which you will receive appropriate payment. Out of hours work may be required in the event of an incident. 

You will be expected to have the necessary CTC security clearance for the work of the post.  You will need to comply with a number of health protocols and wear protective clothing and respiratory protective equipment as required.
