Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an Operational Risk Administrator based at our Service Headquarters in Birstall, Leicester.
This is a new role within the Service and the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to be innovative, and drive improvements both in workplace health and safety and Fire Fighter safety when attending operational incidents. The role is predominantly working for the health and safety department but will also be working with our Operational Intelligence, Operational Planning and Operational Guidance teams.
Purpose of the role:
The Health and Safety department looks after the health and safety of all of our staff including our members of response who respond to a wide variety of incidents including Fires, Road Traffic Collisions and other rescues including from at height and water. As a member of the health and safety team you will be ensuring the service meets its legal duties and expectations of the public in resolving incidents.
The successful applicant will communicate with a wide variety of members of the service including senior managers and operational Fire Fighters.
The Health and Safety team is part of the service`s Operational Risk team. By providing support for our Operational Risk, you will be assisting the service to improve and maintain Fire fighter safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience of office based administrative role. Experience of using Microsoft office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
The successful applicant will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You may also be required to travel to other Fire and Rescue locations within Leicestershire and Rutland.
