AJ Connect are excited to be partnering exclusively with a well-established Charity based in Edinburgh to appoint a diligent Payroll Administrator for a 6 - 8-week temporary assignment starting Monday 11th January.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and working closely on a day-to-day basis with the current Payroll Officer to support with all aspects of the Payroll process. You will support the migration of information onto the new Payroll system, conducting manual calculation of starters, leavers, maternity, and mid-month when required and reconciliation reports.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll professional to kick-off the new year in a temporary assignment working with a high-performing Finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Processing payroll including salaried, contact, shift and relief workers

* Assisting with payroll reconciliation in respect of BACS, Income Tax, National Insurance, Superannuation, Net Pay and postings to the Ledger

* Produces all pay related outputs including pay advice, P60s and P11Ds

* Ensuring all statutory payroll calculations such as SSP/SMP/PAYE/ NIC/PENSIONS are correct and reported to HMRC and Pension providers timely and accurately

* Assisting with preparations of month end process and payroll reconciliation.

The successful Payroll Office will have experience and skills including:

* Demonstrable experience of supporting end-to-end payroll process - Payroll analysis and reconciliation

* Outstanding Payroll knowledge including Payroll legislation, systems and accounting

* Excellent attention to detail - ability to identify and solve anomalies and manage Payroll queries

* Strong Numeracy, analytical and literacy skills

* Ability to use own initiative to manage time effectively

* Excellent IT and Payroll software skills - Microsoft office, advanced level of excel, and experience of working with Pegasus Ocra and Access would be highly advantageous.

The hourly rate for this temporary assignment is GBP10.00 - 12.00. You must be able to start on Monday 11th January 2021 and be available for the duration of the assignment.
